Your whole outlook can be influenced by your reflection in the

"Forever Young"
Your face is the one part of your body you can't hide with
clothes, and it's the main part of your body people focus on in
your personal and professional life.
What does your face say about you?
Why the intervention?
A Face Lift can reverse some of the natural changes
in facial appearance that occur with time. The natural aging
process, genetic influence, sun exposure and other factors cause
the skin of the face to wrinkle and sag. As a person ages,
frequently facial bones begin to recede and the facial tissues
then lose their support. This, combined with loss of elasticity,
causes the skin to begin to sag and fit more loosely. Skin folds
become more prominent around the chin, neck and jaw line.
While a face lift procedure can effectively restore a youthful
facial appearance, you might require a combination of facial
cosmetic surgery procedures to achieve the improvements you
desire. Our patients enjoy a more complete facial rejuvenation
by combining it with:
• Neck lift
• Eyelid surgery
• Brow lift or temporal lift
• Rhinoplasty (nose surgery)
The first consultation
In Sensual Body Dream during the first consultation the surgeon
analyzes the conditions of the patient which is the best way to
correct the defect.
Your surgeon will discuss, based on the laxity of your skin and
your underlying bone structure, whether you would benefit most
from the traditional face lift or the short-scar mini version
(as well as explain the differences between the two).
Procedure
Cutting along the natural creases of your face, incisions are
made to separate skin from the fat and muscle underneath,
preserving your
existing
hairline.
Extra fat from the neck and chin is trimmed off (in some cases
using liposuction to suction it away).
The muscles of the neck and cheek are tightened, excess skin is trimmed away; remaining skin is returned to its
normal position with stitches, and your head is bandaged.
That's basically it, although Sensual Body Dream Medical Team is
also very experienced with a mini-facelift procedure to combat
the earliest signs of facial aging.
Anesthesia
Most facelifts are performed under local anesthesia, combined
with a sedative to make you sleep. In some special cases general
anesthesia is preferred. In that case, you'll sleep through the
operation.
Duration of the operation
Between 1 hour and a half and 3 hours.
If you are having a neck lift in conjunction with liposuction,
facelift, brow lift, or other surgeries, the time will vary
accordingly.
How long is the patient hospitalized?
For the Face lift one day of hospitalization is usually needed.
Recovery
There isn't usually significant discomfort after surgery; if
there is, it can be lessened with the pain medication prescribed
by your surgeon. (Severe or persistent pain or a sudden swelling
of your face should be reported to your surgeon immediately.)
Some numbness of the skin is quite normal; it will disappear in
a few weeks or months.
Your doctor may tell you to keep your head elevated and as still
as possible for a couple of days after surgery, to keep the
swelling down.
If you've had a drainage tube inserted, it will be removed one
or two days after surgery. Bandages, when used, are usually
removed after one to five days. Don't be surprised at the pale,
bruised, and puffy face you see. Just keep in mind that in a few
weeks you'll be looking normal.
Most of your stitches will be removed after about five days.
Your scalp may take longer to heal, and the stitches or metal
clips in your hairline could be left in a few days longer.
Results
The chances are excellent that you'll be happy with your
facelift-especially if you realize that the results may not be
immediately apparent. Even after the swelling and bruises are
gone, the hair around your temples may be thin and your skin may
feel dry and rough for several months. Men may find they have to
shave in new places-behind the neck and ears-where areas of
beard- growing skin have been repositioned.
You'll have some scars from your facelift, but they're usually
hidden by your hair or in the natural creases of your face and
ears. In any case, they'll fade within time and should be
scarcely visible.
Having a facelift doesn't stop the clock. Your face will
continue to age with time, and you may want to repeat the
procedure one or more times-perhaps five or ten years down the
line. But in another sense, the effects of even one facelift are
lasting; years later, you'll continue to look better than if
you'd never had a facelift at all.
Post Op Follow up
In Sensual Body Dream the strictest norms of quality are
followed, that go beyond the intervention. For that reason
detailed postoperative controls are made, so the patient feels
safe and accompanied. During your stay you will have a number of
consultations, to check that the process follows the natural
course.
TEMPORAL
LIFT
/ LATERAL
BROW
LIFT
SURGERY
Frequently, one of the earliest signs of
aging is the drooping or lowering of the eyebrows. This change
is often overlooked, but temporal lift surgery can make a big
difference.
Temporal temporal lift, also known as lateral brow lift surgery
is one of the new generation of plastic surgery procedures as it
works on the outer eye area - usually the first place ageing
appears. This 'outer eye area' extends down the side of the face
to the upper cheek. Ageing in this area has a dramatic effect on
the overall appearance of the face.
Ideal for people in their 30s and 40s who are noticing the first
signs of facial ageing, a temporal lift works under the skin on
the outer eye area to restore the support layers of the face.
The procedure has also become a routine part of a full facelift
for older patients. Importantly, a deep temporal lift does not
result in an obvious or overdone look.
Procedure
The temporal lift is performed through a small incision in the
hairline above the temple (hence the name ‘temporal lift’). This
flexible procedure lightens the hooding of the outer eyelid,
reduces crows feet lines and firms the outer-eye area.
After a temporal lift the eyes again look bright and alert,
which gives the whole face a fresh and well rested appearance.
The procedure lightens hooding of the outer eyelid, reduces deep
lines and the look of heaviness around the eyes and restores a
firm outer-eye area. The result is entirely natural and patients
have found that if people do comment afterwards, they are most
likely to say how well and relaxed they look, or ask if they
have been away on a holiday.
An
additional advantage of the temporal lift is that, by correcting
such an important part of the face, the overall appearance of
ageing is delayed well into the future.
Indeed, this surgery has a preventive effect if performed while
the patient is still young. Introducing special threads beneath
the skin that will produce fibrosis in the sub dermal tissues.
The threads and the fibrosis make up a structure that sustains
the tissues of the area and delays the appearance of flaccidity.
Performed together with eye lift surgery (blepharoplasty) and
neck lift surgery, it completely rejuvenates the face and neck.
Anesthesia
Local anaesthesia and complementary sedation.
Duration of the operation
Around 1 hour.
How long is the patient hospitalized?
The temporal lift can be done as an outpatient procedure
requiring no hospitalization.

NECK
LIFT
For
some individuals, the neck starts to show signs of age sooner
than the rest of the face. The skin hangs and wobbles a bit
under your face and the dreaded phrase "turkey wattle" may cross
your mind. Sometimes, it isn't age that determines the need for
a neck lift (also called a platysmaplasty), but rather having
lost considerable weight. It may even be an inherited feature
you'd like to get rid of.
You may need a neck lift if you have jowls (fatty deposits at
the jaw line), loose hanging skin, or if the sheet of muscles
under the skin of your throat (the platysma muscle that gives
platysmaplasty its name) has grown lax. This neck muscle may
have begun to separate and hang, creating bands. The skin of the
neck may hang like crepe paper and look like a turkey's wattle.
If this is you, a neck lift can help.
Most neck lift procedures are performed on an out-patient basis.
This means that you go home a few hours after your surgery.
A neck lift can be performed alone, or in conjunction with other
procedures including brow lift, rhinoplasty, eyelid surgery chin
or cheek augmentation.
Combined, these procedures can provide a complete facial
makeover.
With Sensual Body Dream your neck lift includes a combination of
two procedures.
1) Cervicoplasty, where
excess skin is removed.
2) Platysmaplasty, where
neck muscles are removed or altered.
Cervicoplasty
The cervicoplasty procedure is performed to remove excess skin
on the neck. An incision is made under your chin and/or behind
the ears (or possibly in just one of these locations). The
surgeon will then cut back and lift the skin, which will be
secured with permanent sutures.
Platysmaplasty
The platysmaplasty procedure is performed to reduce the banded
appearance of the neck. During the procedure, incisions will be
made under the chin or behind the ears, (or both). The surgeon
will then insert a tiny instrument to either remove a portion of
specific neck muscles or realign them, which will tighten the
middle area of the neck. The doctor will permanently suture
areas of the muscles in order to clasp them in the best
position.
After the Neck lift (Cervicoplasty + Platysmaplasty) a bandage
and tape will be applied across the chin or behind the ears (or
both) to reduce swelling and discomfort. An elastic bandage will
be wrapped around the neck and head.
If your neck-lift requires liposuction to remove excess fat, the
liposuction procedure is typically performed first. An incision
will be made below the chin to remove the excess fat deposits.
The fat deposits will be removed by inserting a small cannula (a
hollow tube with an opening near its blunt end) beneath the skin
and into the fatty tissue. The cannula is used to break up the
fat, and then remove it
from the neck area. A bandage will be applied to reduce swelling
and discomfort.
The doctor may also apply a bandage around your neck and head.
Your surgeon can use different techniques to achieve a more
aesthetically
pleasing neck. During your first face to face consultation your
cosmetic surgeon will explain you in detail the procedure he
will use.
Anesthesia
Local with sedation or general anesthesia.
Recovery
If you hurt take your pain relievers. Don't tough it out and
avoid taking them. It is a fact that patients with increased
pain heal slower than patients who are not in pain
You may be groggy from the anesthetic and or oral medications
for the first day or two. You will have to take it easy. You
will also have to sleep with your head elevated for 10 days. Use
two or three pillows on your bed or get a foam wedge pillow at a
surgical supply store. Some people sleep on a recliner, if they
have one.
You have to keep your head and neck still after a neck lift.
Avoid turning your head from side to side. If you have to turn
to look at something, turn your whole body, and not just your
head.
Your lower face and neck will get more swollen, and possibly a
bit bruised, over the first 3 days after surgery. As the days go
by, the swelling and bruises will dissipate. This is part of
healing.
Your sutures won't be removed until 7 to 10 days postoperative.
