Begin a new life
with a new body!!!

A Complete Body
Lift includes any such procedures that enhance the body
contour like the arms (Arm lift), the thighs (Thigh lift), the
buttock (Buttock lift) and the abdomen (Tummy Tuck).
Like the face, the remainder of the body suffers the
consequences of time, gravity and in some cases significant
weight loss.
A complete body lift is a very powerful body-rejuvenating
procedure, typically performed to remove excess skin following
massive weight loss or to improve the results of gastric bypass,
panniculectomy, or liposuction.
Patients who have had gastric bypass, Lap-Band, or other gastric
restrictive procedures often require a dramatic body contouring
to remove excess skin on several areas of the body, including:
- Facelift: to reduce sagging of the mid-face, jowls and
neck
- Breast lift: to correct the apron of excess skin
hanging over abdomen
- Lower body lift: to correct sagging of the abdomen and
buttocks
- Thigh lift: to correct sagging of the inner, outer and
mid thigh
- Brachioplasty / Arm Lift: to correct sagging of the
upper arms.
Complete body lift can also be performed to fight the effects of
aging and childbearing, including excess skin, cellulite, and
sagging fatty tissue.
Brachioplasty, also known as Arm Lift or Arm Tuck, is a plastic
surgery procedure designed to remove redundant, flabby, and
sagging skin folds of the upper arms.
Hanging
arm skin folds, also known as "Bat Wings," "Batwing Deformity"
and "Bingo Wings" are not only unsightly, but also interfere
with one’s ability to fit in sleeved tops, as well as causing
underarm skin rash and irritation.
Candidates for Arm Lift surgery are often embarrassed by their
large and "jiggley" arms which they can't hide!
Brachioplasty can now offer patients the freedom of a lifestyle
that they couldn't enjoy previously.
The majority of candidates for Brachioplasty are those have lost
massive weight following Bariatric Surgery, also known as
"stomach stapling" or "lap banding." While these patients reap
many health and psychological benefits from this weight loss,
one of its aftereffects is sagging skin that hangs from the arms
and other parts of the body. Because the skin has lost its
elasticity following years of obesity, no amount of diet or
exercise can restore firmness and tone to the arms. Another
group of Arm Tuck candidates are those who have developed upper
arm flabbiness, simply due to the loss of elasticity that
accompanies aging or chronic tanning.
Fortunately, Brachioplasty or Arm Lift can help restore a
person’s ability to wear blouses and shirts comfortably, to show
their arms without feeling self-conscious, and to conduct their
lives with greater freedom and confidence.
Men and women who are not good candidates for Brachioplasty
include those who predominantly have excess fat, which are
better served with first undergoing Liposuction.
The first consultation
In Sensual Body Dream during the first consultation the surgeon
analyzes the conditions of the patient which is the best way to
correct the defect.
The surgeon will recommend the best solution with respect to the
intervention to be made and the best form to perform it. He will
also answer all the questions that you have and tell the
reasonable expectations that you can have regarding the final
result.
Scars & Procedure
Our surgeons approach arm lifts to meet your specific needs.
This means adequately assessing the excess skin and excess fat
(if any is present). Each of these components will determine
which procedure is best for you.
If excess hanging skin is located within two inches from the
armpit, your cosmetic surgeon can potentially pull up and tuck
this excess skin into the armpit with an Axillary Brachioplasty
or Mini Arm Tuck. For those whose excess skin extends like a
"Bat Wing" from the armpit to the elbow, the only option is the
complete removal of the arm flab in a Standard Brachioplasty or
Standard Arm Lift.
An
important consideration for Brachioplasty patients is the
resulting scars. With a Mini Arm Tuck, the scar is limited to a
semi-circular line hidden in the armpit. Standard Brachioplasty,
however, results in a permanent scar extending the length of the
upper arm, from the armpit to the elbow. This scar is either
placed on the inner side of the arm, which is hidden in a normal
pose; or at the bottom of the arm just, like the seam of a
shirt. The severity of the scar's appearance varies from patient
to patient and cannot be predicted. Therefore, it is extremely
important to decide whether having a permanent scar is a good
"trade off" for having smaller and firmer upper arms.
Anesthesia
The surgeon will select Local anaesthesia and complementary
sedation, in most cases, so you'll sleep through the
operation. In some cases epidural anesthesia combined with
sedation can be indicated or general anesthesia.
Duration of the operation
About 1h30 to 2 hours depending on the extent of lift required.
How long is the patient hospitalized?
For arm lift one day of hospitalization is usually needed if
there are no complications.
After Your Procedure
You may feel discomfort for the first 2 to 5 days, with
continuous improvement for the following 14 days. Bruising is
rare and in most patients, low activity can be resumed in 3 to 7
days. Although you may begin exercising more actively 2 weeks
after surgery.
Approximately 6 months after surgery the scars would have
matured and final results can be expected.
Post Op Follow up
In Sensual Body Dream the strictest norms of quality are
followed, that go beyond the intervention. For that reason
detailed postoperative controls are made, so the patient feels
safe and accompanied. During your stay you will have several
consultations, to check that the process follows the natural
course and to ensure you that can leave Bolivia without any
problem once in your country.
